微山湖英文簡(jiǎn)介

Located in Jining City which is at the junction of Shandong and Jiangsu Province boundaries, Weishan Lake is the largest

freshwater lake in northern China. The surface area of the lake is

531.17 square kilometers and the shoreline is 62 km long.

Because

the Jining section is at the middle of the Grand Canal and Weishan Lake

start the section on the south, Jining become the governance focus of the Grand Canal since Yuan

dynasty and Weishan Lake is known as the

capital of the Canal.

Weishan

Lake is one of the largest freshwater fish origins of China. There are 78 kinds of fish, 74

kinds of aquatic economic plants. The lake is especially famous in Weishan Lake

turtles, four nostril carp and duck.
